Location:
Masterton Motorplex is located at the Hood Aerodrome near Masterton.
Turn directly opposite the Caltex (Solway Service Station) on SH2 at the south end of Masterton, and follow the signs.
See bottom of this page for a location map.
Track Prep/Condition:
The track is prepared with VHT on the morning prior to a comp race meeting, unless poor weather is expected. The track has a concrete launch pad to 200ft, where it changes to tar seal. The strip is a runway, so it is very flat, straight, and has excellent traction and run-off (braking area).
Racers Camping Facilities:
There is an area at the track set aside for racers and crew members to camp. Unfortunately there are no showers or powered sites due to the distance from the nearest buildings. Toilets are available for campers use.
Spectators Facilities:
There is seating for approximately 1200 people on one side of the track, as well as standing room for the remaining length of the track's barriers.
For meetings with a large anticipated crowd, the other side of the track will also be opened to spectators.
There is a large car park, food stalls, trade displays, clean toilets, and the pits are open for the public to walk through, free of additional charge.

IMPORTANT!
Please take care at all times in the pit area, as drivers often can not see or hear you.
Ensure any children in your care are not left to wander alone, as they are extremely difficult for drivers to see, and often are not aware of the dangers of these vehicles moving around them.
STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL IN THE PIT AREA
The consumption of alcohol in the pit area will not be tolerated. Random breath tests may be carried out on drivers and crew members.
Failure to comply will result in disqualification from racing, and/or being removed from the venue.
